Artrosis en el adulto mayor y la intervención de enfermería.

Abstract

The present research is focused on nursing intervention with older adults with osteoarthritis based on a literature review. The general objective was to implement an educational tool based on a literature review on osteoarthritis in older adults and nursing intervention. A study methodology based on a research of mixed nature was presented, under the modality of Bibliographic Review, being a documentary type research with application of analytical-synthetic, descriptive-deductive methods. In the results of the sample of scientific and updated articles related to the subject under study, main researches were found in the academic and scientific database sciencedirect which led the list with 27 articles equivalent to 41.53.58%, followed by pubmed with 13 studies equivalent to 20.00%, Elsevier with 10 studies equivalent to 15.38%, Scielo with 6 studies representing 9.23%, as well as others with 5 studies equivalent to 7.69% and also redalyc with 4 studies equivalent to 6.15% of the total sample of selected articles. In general, although there is variability in the distribution of the studies, Sciencedirect, Pubmed, Elsevier and Scielo stand out as the predominant sources. In conclusion, it was possible to select a series of sources of documentary information with which it has been possible to base the research process developed, which is focused on identifying the role of nursing in the older adult with osteoarthritis.
