Abstract: Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes, and is also among the ten leading causes of death in the world. Objective: To analyze the clinical practice guideline in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control of tuberculosis to improve the quality of life. The methodology used in the study is bibliographical, through articles in indexed databases, in this the analytical - synthetic, inductive-deductive and historical-logical methods were used, with several inclusion criteria such as articles of scientific origin. of the last 10 years. The results obtained from the sample were 38 investigations related to the study topic, it is evident that the main database was Pubmed with 16 articles representing 42.11%, Scielo with 8 articles representing 21.10%, Elsevier with 4 articles representing 10.50% and several that gave prominence to this project. Conclusion, the study carried out on tuberculosis showed that it is a contagious disease as well as the risk factors and complications that can occur if it is not treated in time, in the same way it is evident that people who are in the hospital area present anxiety and depression which affects them physically, emotionally and mentally, on the other hand through the creation of an educational guide it is expected that nursing professionals follow preventive measures to avoid the spread of this disease.
Description: La tuberculosis es una infección bacteriana causada por Mycobacterium tuberculosis, que se propaga por el aire cuando una persona infectada tose o estornuda, asimismo se encuentra entre las diez principales causas de muerte en el mundo. Objetivo: Analizar la guía de práctica clínica en prevención, diagnóstico, tratamiento y control de tuberculosis para mejorar la calidad de vida. Metodología que se emplea en el estudio es de tipo bibliográfico, mediante artículos en bases indexadas, en esta se emplearon los métodos, analítico- sintético, inductivo- deductivo y el histórico- lógico, con varios criterios de inclusión como lo son artículos de origen científico de los últimos 10 años.
