Resumen : The increase in alcohol consumption in adolescents under 18 years of age presents a significant increase in the Ecuadorian population, so the role played by the nursing professional is essential to care for and teach self-care in families with young people who consume alcoholic beverages, and that is why, among the activities of the nurse is to identify the causes that caused the alcoholic intake to then provide education and thus avoid complications in the future. This research focused on determining the importance of nurses' interventions in the self-care of adolescent alcohol users. This research work has a documentary and retrospective approach; the search was obtained through 51 databases such as Pubmed, Scielo, Latindex, Lilacs, among others, which publicize nursing activities and their influence on the care deficit observed in adolescents who consume alcohol. The data obtained from the documentary sample reflect that 82% belong to scientific journals and 12% are websites and web documents, where both reflect the scarce measure of care. Based on the bibliographic sources, of the articles are given greater relevance, whose purpose is education through self-care, considering certain factors such as the social circle, since being an adolescent they do not have a defined criterion. In conclusion, the research carried out allowed the development of an educational guide to improve the quality of life of users who consume alcohol at an early age, which is focused on nursing interventions in the face of the self-care deficit in alcoholic adolescents to reduce possible complications that put their health and well-being at risk. For this reason, nurses must continue with their training and at the same time with the prevention and promotion of self-care.
