Dengue, caracterización y prevalencia desde una perspectiva de enfermería.

Abstract

Introduction: Dengue is a systemic viral infection transmitted mainly by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Each year, approximately 390 million people worldwide are infected with this virus, which has made dengue a major public health problem. Regarding nursing care, it focuses on establishing diagnoses, intervening, predicting and evaluating results, with the aim of restoring the health of patients infected by the dengue virus. Objective: Determine the prevalence and characterization of dengue from a nursing perspective. Methodology: This study has a type of retrospective and prospective documentary research with an analytical-synthetic method, the search carried out was obtained through 50 databases such as Scielo, ScienceDirect, Mediagraphic, Pubmed, LILACS, Redalyc, Dialnet, Medline, Latindex, among others. others, of which 20 articles were taken for the sample. Conclusion: Dengue is a viral disease transmitted mainly by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, constituting a significant challenge for public health worldwide, especially in tropical and subtropical areas. The role of nursing is crucial in dengue prevention, treatment and education, applying evidence-based methods and collaborative approaches to improve the health and well-being of affected communities.
