Abstract: | Hypertension is a chronic multifactorial disease that increases morbidity and mortality by producing systemic vascular damage, causing about 45% of deaths from heart disease and 51% from cerebrovascular disease. It is important that the nursing professional always provides information about care to both the patient and their family. The role of nursing staff in the diagnosis, follow-up and management of cardiovascular risk factors is fundamental for reducing blood pressure values. Objective: To determine through a literature review whether nursing interventions have influenced the control and monitoring of patients with hypertension. Methodology: This study is based on a literature review with a qualitative approach and descriptive methodology. It has a universe of 50 articles and a sample of 19 scientific articles after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusion: The results of the studies indicate that evidence-based nursing interventions are effective in modifying behaviors, improving knowledge, and promoting healthy lifestyles. |
