Abstract: The objective of this research is to analyze the essay as a strategy to develop writing skills, applied to students in the third year of the Unified General High School at “Unidad Educativa Particular del Pacífico” in the 2024 academic year. This focuses on students to develop and strengthen writing skills in an interactive, dynamic and striking way that awakens the students' interest in writing. The approach of the work is qualitative, with a descriptive and documentary level, it has deductive and bibliographic methods. By means of an observation form applied to 20 students, a series of problems for the development of writing in the argumentative essay were evidenced. Also, two interviews were applied, one to the teacher of the Language and Literature area and the other to the director of the Educational Unit, who mentioned that writing is fundamental and that all the teachers of the different subjects promote it, where they look for the best strategies for its development, in addition, they evaluate the constant progress of the students. Through this research we intend to develop writing through the writing of academic essays in order to achieve the proposed objectives. Taking into account the structure and everything that encompasses the essay, being so complete, it allows to evaluate grammar, writing and other elements that are part of writing.
Description: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el ensayo como estrategia para desarrollar la escritura, aplicada a estudiantes de tercero Año de Bachillerato General Unificado en la Unidad Educativa Particular “Del Pacífico” del periodo académico 2024. Esto se enfoca en que los estudiantes desarrollen y fortalezcan las habilidades de la escritura de una forma interactiva, dinámica y llamativa que despierte el interés por escribir de los estudiantes.
