La violencia de género y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Uleam, año 2024.

Abstract

Gender violence is a social problem that has been witnessed for many years, with an erroneous thought where the man had a position of power before the woman, causing serious consequences in the lives of the victims and their environment, for this reason it was of utmost importance to investigate this situation from a local perspective. this research aims to determine how gender-based violence affects the academic performance of students at the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí in the Manta Canton, year 2024. The methodology implemented is mixed with qualitative and quantitative approaches, techniques such as semi-structured interviews were used based on a questionnaire of questions that were applied to the key informants, this facilitated the systematization of the data with respect to the experiences provided, likewise, surveys were carried out with multiple answer options, followed by the analysis and interpretation of the information collected, revealing significant findings in relation to the phenomenon studied, a high percentage of the respondents indicate that this problem does exist within our university which affects the academic performance of the victims, in this way it is concluded that the impact that gender violence has on the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí in the year 2024 is quite high, generating isolation in the person who suffers all kinds of violence even causing them to drop out of classes or that their performance is affected.
