Abstract

The project was titled “Drug Consumption and Life Project” and its general objective was to determine how drug consumption and Life Project affect students of the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí Year 2024. The problem I address in this research lies in the high drug consumption in young people, which represents significant challenges for comprehensive development, within the life project, it limits the ability of young people to plan long-term and achieve professional or personal goals. The methodology was qualitative using the descriptive-cross-sectional method. Key informant interviews were conducted, such as the University's well- being psychologist and the University students to collect data and perform triangulation that guaranteed the validity of the results. The findings revealed that drug use and life plans seriously affect the physical and mental capacity of young people, but also interfere with their personal educational aspirations. The results also howed that there are students who have a problem with drug use. The conclusions highlighted that this problem not only limits their ability to set clear and realistic goals but also negatively impacts their mental physical health. These strategies are essential to improve the quality of life and comprehensive well-being of young people affected by drug use.
