Abstract: | This study analyzes gender-based violence as a formative pattern that impacts the psychological, social, and educational development of children and adolescents in Canton Manta. The primary objective was to determine the impact of gender-based violence on their formative process, identifying risk and protective factors that perpetuate this phenomenon and exploring possible educational intervention strategies. The findings revealed that the normalization of violence, patriarchal structures within the family environment, and the lack of gender equality education foster aggressive behaviors and emotional problems among minors. These dynamics negatively affect their self-esteem, academic performance, and interpersonal skills, limiting their overall development. Furthermore, the analysis highlighted the influence of cultural norms that sustain the cycle of intergenerational violence and the lack of effective support programs in educational institutions. The study concludes that implementing specific actions is crucial to preventing and mitigating the effects of gender-based violence. Key recommendations include family therapy, education based on gender equality and respect, and the strengthening of community support networks. These strategies aim to transform social and familial dynamics into a safe, equitable, and resilient environment, fostering healthy development for future generations. |
