Abstract

In the present research titled "The Role of Craft Production in the Local Development of the La Pila Parish of the Canton of Montecristi, year 2024", which was developed using the Qualitative methodology to be able to understand the experiences of a more real perception of the inhabitants. of the community of La Pila, since through qualitative methodology interviews were carried out with the artisans of said commune to learn more about the reality of crafts as a local development in the parish. The objective of this research is to determine how the Role of Craft Production influences the Local Development of the La Pila Parish of the Canton of Montecristi. On the other hand, within Chapter II: Theoretical Aspects, two theories are discussed, which are the Theory of Human Scale Development and the Theory of Industrial Districts. With respect to the theoretical foundations of Social Work we have the Community Development Model and the Endogenous Model which facilitated the strengthening of the organization and participation of the community in order to promote its own development and in turn enhance the resources that exist in the community. As mentioned before, the interview was the instrument used to carry out this research, which was done for the artisans of said parish where the objective was to learn more about how important crafts are for the local development of said town, the key informants of this research were the artisans of the La Pila parish.
