Abstract

In a scenario where physical violence continues to be a scourge that affects thousands of people in the Flavio Alfaro Canton, the effective implementation of public policies becomes crucial to prevent and eradicate this problem. However, the application of these policies does not always translate into tangible and sustainable results. In this sense, this research focuses on analyzing the effective compliance of public policies to prevent and eradicate physical violence in the Flavio Alfaro Canton during the years 2019-2022. Through a comprehensive and objective approach, existing public policies are identified, their implementation is evaluated and the challenges and barriers that hinder their compliance are diagnosed. The results of this research will be fundamental to strengthen the response of the State and civil society in the fight against physical violence, and to lay the foundations for a more effective and sustainable public policy in the region.
