Análisis de las normas aplicadas en acciones legales para mujeres embarazadas despedidas.

Abstract

The 2008 Constitution establishes fundamental principles of equality and non-discrimination based on gender. The objective of this article is to analyze the rules and legal actions in cases of dismissal of pregnant workers in Ecuador. The methodological design was framed within the legal dogmatic field, the qualitative approach. The scope is descriptive, theoretical methods such as historical-logical, analytical and synthetic were used. The analysis of bibliographies and documentaries as a research technique and the review of several periodically indexed articles, both legally and socially. The results were that, both internationally and in the Ecuadorian context, efforts are observed to protect women as a priority and vulnerable group. It is concluded that the regulations applied to resolve legal actions in the case of pregnant women who are fired are not in question, since the norm is correctly established.
