Abstract

The performance of the Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) was evaluated in the laying phase using different levels of the vitamin additive AD3EC, in feed T1 (0% AD3E), T2 (0.008% AD3E), T3 (0.012% AD3E), T4 (0.016% AD3E) and T5 (0.02% AD3E) where 100 quails were used, and each 20 of them received a different treatment in order to determine the feed conversion, laying percentage, weight, diameter and number of eggs with the Tukey 5% test. Regarding the variable of feed conversion and egg weight, T3 (0.012% AD3E) is the most effective treatment and is economically viable. In addition, in terms of laying percentage, the results indicate that T3 (0.012% AD3E) had the highest average, suggesting a positive effect of this concentration.
