Abstract: This present research work focuses on analyzing how the absence of competencies affects student learning, causing them to develop difficulty learning mathematics, emphasizing the development of the evaluated competencies. Problems that some students face when solving or understanding mathematical exercises were identified. The Objective of this research is: Analyze mathematical competencies in the development of learning difficulties of 4th grade students of the "Luis Aveiga Barberán" Educational Unit. The methodology was developed based on the positivist paradigm, this study had a quantitative approach, in turn the descriptive level was used to diagnose the level of basic competencies in students under the OECD parameters, with a type of research of field,opted for the survey technique and as an instrument an open-type questionnaire, the population that was established was 250 people and a sample of 30 students was made to whom a questionnaire adapted to the competencies evaluated in the PISA test was applied. and the OECD. Among the conclusions, it stands out that the majority of students have a solid command of these evaluated competencies such as reasoning, thinking, posing, and solving problems.
Description: Este presente trabajo de investigación se centra en analizar como la ausencia de competencias afecta el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, provocando que ellos desarrollen una dificultad para aprender matemáticas, haciendo énfasis en el desarrollo de las competencias evaluadas.
