Abstract: This research analyzes the impact of family dynamics on the academic performance of fifth-grade students at Unidad Educativa "Alida Zambrano" during the 2024-1 school year. Instability in couple relationships significantly affects children, generating unusual behaviors that hinder their adaptation and learning in school. This study emerged from pre-professional practices and used a quantitative approach through surveys conducted with parents, teachers, and students to identify how the family environment influences school performance. It was found that the lack of support and supervision at home, along with the emotional tension from family conflicts, negatively affects children's behavior and concentration. 100% of the teachers surveyed affirmed that family conflicts significantly impact academic performance. The results underscore the importance of family support, communication, and a positive home environment. The research highlights the need for family involvement programs and psychological support to improve the family environment and, consequently, academic performance. It provides a theoretical and methodological framework for future research and emphasizes the collaboration between family and school as crucial for the well-being and overall development of children. Clear identification of the problem allows for proposing interventions that strengthen family bonds and promote a healthier environment for the growth and development of students.
Description: La investigación analiza el impacto de la dinámica familiar en el rendimiento académico de estudiantes de quinto grado en la Unidad Educativa "Alida Zambrano" durante el periodo 2024-1. La inestabilidad en las relaciones de pareja afecta notablemente a los niños, generando conductas inusuales que dificultan su adaptación y aprendizaje escolar. Este estudio surgió de prácticas preprofesionales y utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo mediante encuestas a padres, docentes y estudiantes para identificar cómo el ambiente familiar influye en el desempeño escolar.
