Abstract: This research focused on the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the learning of Language and Literature among tenth-grade students at the "Tres de Julio" Educational Unit. The study addressed the effectiveness and challenges of using ICT in the classroom, drawing from three previous studies. Aguas and Negrete (2022) demonstrated that the use of game-based platforms, such as Classcraft, improved reading comprehension and student motivation. Solano et al. (2023) highlighted that ICT-based teaching strategies enhanced performance in Language and Literature, particularly for students with difficulties. Escobar and Hernández (2023) emphasized the need for continuous teacher training, as inadequate use of ICT can negatively impact learning. The research identified that, while ICT has the potential to improve learning, teachers face significant challenges, such as a lack of adequate training and motivational issues. The study established the following objectives: to analyze the use of ICT, list the challenges in its application, provide recommendations for teachers, and identify the contribution of ICT to learning. A quantitative methodology was used, with surveys conducted among students and teachers to collect and analyze data. The findings contribute theoretically to the understanding of ICT in education, methodologically by offering guidelines for effective integration, and practically by providing recommendations to enhance ICT use in the classroom, thereby optimizing the educational process and promoting a more motivating and effective learning experience.
Description: La presente investigación se centró en el impacto de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC) en el aprendizaje de Lengua y Literatura de estudiantes de décimo grado en la Unidad Educativa “Tres de Julio”. El estudio abordó la efectividad y desafíos del uso de TIC en el aula, tuvo como antecedentes los estudios de Aguas y Negrete (2022) demostraron que el uso de plataformas basadas en juegos, como Classcraft, mejoró la comprensión lectora y motivación estudiantil.
