Abstract: | This systematic review of articles aimed to analyze the occupational performance of children with upper limb amputations. The applied methodology was the descriptive type Systematic Model, in which 20 journal articles were consulted from scientific databases such as Dialnet, PubMed, Redalyc, and Scielo. These articles demonstrated the achievement of specific objectives through inclusion and exclusion criteria. Among the main results, a series of limiting factors affecting the occupational performance of children with upper limb amputations were identified, highlighting the complexity of the challenges they face, including the level of amputation and the quality and fit of the prosthesis. It was also confirmed that these factors impact their daily activities. In conclusion, the importance of occupational therapy intervention is emphasized, as these professionals use various strategies to improve the autonomy and quality of life of children with upper limb amputations. These strategies include comprehensive assessments covering physical, emotional, and social aspects, as well as physical therapy as a rehabilitation method. |
