Abstract

In the canton of Olmedo, Manabí, a business opportunity will be identified in the distribution of vacuum-packed fish. This project aims to establish a company in 2024 to meet local demand and, in the future, expand to nearby regions. With adequate strategic planning, this initiative will position itself as an innovative solution that will contribute to local and regional economic development. The fishing industry will be the fundamental pillar on which this proposal will be based. Manabí is widely recognized for its wealth of marine resources and its fishing tradition, which provides a competitive advantage for projects related to the sector. In particular, the canton of Olmedo will present a favorable environment for the development of new business initiatives that will promote economic growth and generate employment. Therefore, this feasibility study will comprehensively analyze the possibility of creating a company dedicated to the distribution of vacuum-packed fish. The aim is to take advantage of current consumption trends, which demand fresh, hygienic, and high-quality products. This type of product will meet the expectations of the modern consumer, who values convenience and sustainability. To determine the viability of the project, an exhaustive analysis will be carried out, divided into several key chapters: determination of the need, description of the enterprise, market study, technical study, organizational study, strategic marketing, financial analysis, and finally, conclusions and recommendations. Based on these analyses, conclusions and recommendations will be formulated, providing a clear overview of the project's sustainability and profitability. In this way, it will contribute to strengthening the fishing value chain in Manabí and the sustainable development of the local community.
