El liderazgo y la eficiencia organizacional en las empresas públicas de Manta.

Abstract

Leadership has been identified as a key factor in organizational efficiency and management, especially in the context of public companies, which face unique challenges in having to meet government and public expectations. In the city of Manta - Ecuador, it was considered essential to analyze leadership practices and their impact on organizational efficiency in the Aguas de Manta Public Company and in the Strategic Public Electric Company Corporación Nacional de Electricidad. The main objective of this article was to determine the influence of leadership on personnel performance and organizational efficiency in these entities, providing valuable information to improve their management practices. To do this, an exploratory and descriptive methodology was used, with a quantitative approach, through surveys of different members of the companies. The result was that the transformational leadership style was closely related to a higher degree of organizational effectiveness, since this style was considered essential for motivating and inspiring employees to overcome their limits and contribute to the growth of the company. The implementation of this leadership style led to significant improvements in the efficiency of companies, so the creation of an organizational environment that promoted transparency, training, collaboration and adaptability in public sector management was suggested.
