Abstract: | In this research, the efficiency obtained after the application of whey at different levels to corn silage in the flowering stage was determined, at the Mache Site in the Pedernales canton. With the purpose of increasing its chemical composition, it is determined through bromatological analyzing and NDF. For this research, the DAS 3383 Corn variety was used, which was harvested in the flowering stage and ensiled for 60 days. The design used was a comparative table with 4 treatments (T1: Control 0; T3: whey at a dose of 75 ml/kg; T3: Whey at a dose of 150 ml/kg; T4: whey at a dose of 225 ml/kg), which to support the research, the Pearson correlation coefficient and the simple linear regression model were used. The results allowed us to determine that the treatments: T1 and T4 were the ones that showed the highest percentage in the bromatological analyzes (Protein, Ethereal Ext, Ash, Fiber, Nitrogen-free Ext), the treatment with the best percentage of gross and metabolizable energy was T1 and T4, in terms of NDF, T1 and T3 were the best in cellular composition analysis. The research is completed concluding that the addition of whey in corn silage allows increasing a certain amount in the nutritional and energy contribution available for cattle, silage is an excellent alternative for preserving forage in rainy seasons and then supplying it to the cattle in dry season. |
