Abstract: | The general objective of this research was to analyze the artisanal fishmeal and evaluate it in the initial feed of Cobb 500 chickens. The fishmeal was prepared and then sent to the laboratory to find out, through a bromatological analysis, the chemical properties of this artisanally made product and then tested it in the balanced feed for chickens. The methodology used was through an experimental DCA design (Completely Randomized Design) where a population of 90 birds was used with three treatments and three repetitions of 10 chickens. The results showed that the best treatment was T2 (14% fishmeal) which had a greater improvement in the feeding of chickens. In treatment two T2 repetition 1 the weight gain was the highest while in treatment 0 T0 was the one with the lowest weight gain. This research suggests that 14% fishmeal be used, since it was the treatment that achieved the best results in feeding chickens during the growth stage, as it is a source of high protein and can thus replace soybeans to a certain extent. In conclusion, the use of fishmeal in the research is based on the need to use new products in feed and not rely on the same ones as always. |
