Abstract

Nowadays, public and private companies must apply the ISO 27000 Standard to comply with the established standards and at the same time achieve continuous improvement by carrying out the protocols of the information security management system in a way that allows guaranteeing the correct fulfillment of its objectives for the organizations; therefore, this research has as its theme ISO 27000 Standards to improve the management of information security in the Human Talent department of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute IESS of Los Esteros. The interest in carrying out the research work is to know how the ISO 27000 standard is established efficiently in the Human Talent department taking into account its relevant points to improve information security management. Likewise, this standard will help the IESS to strengthen its information security management system to improve its efficiency and therefore achieve its objectives effectively.
