Abstract: | Public investment in basic, middle, and high school education has an impact on the socioeconomic development of the towns of Pedernales canton, this research aims to analyze how public investment in education impacts the socioeconomic development of Pedernales canton in the period 2022-2023. To this end, a mixed methodology was applied, integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches, with a study population that included educational institutions, students and key actors of local development, in order to evaluate key factors such as access to education, educational quality, employment generation and economic growth. The results highlight significant advances in public investment, such as increased school enrollment, improved infrastructure in some educational institutions, and the development of technical and vocational programs that respond to the needs of the labor market, but still face challenges in terms of equitable distribution of economic resources, Finally, it was concluded that there is a positive correlation between educational investment and socioeconomic development, as evidenced by the generation of employment through technical training in key sectors such as tourism and agribusiness. However, it is recommended that the coverage and sustainability of these initiatives be strengthened, prioritizing rural areas and ensuring a more equitable distribution of resources to maximize their impact in the canton. |
Description: | La Inversión Pública en la educación básica media, superior y bachillerato deja un impacto en el desarrollo socioeconómico de los pueblos del cantón Pedernales, esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar como la inversión pública en educación impacta en el desarrollo socioeconómico del cantón Pedernales en el periodo 2022-2023. Para ello, se aplicó una metodología mixta, integrando enfoques cuantitativos y cualitativos, con una población de estudio abarcó instituciones educativas, estudiantes y actores clave del desarrollo local, para así poder evaluar factores claves como el acceso a la educación, la calidad educativa, la generación de empleo y el crecimiento económico. |
