Abstract

Ecuador a leader in banana exports has strategic trade relationships with Chile and Argentina, key markets in South America. This study analyzes the evolution of Ecuador's banana exports to these countries between 2018 and 2023, exploring how macroeconomicfactors, changes in consumer preferences, business strategies, and logistical conditions affect bilateral trade. Bananas, a key agricultural product for the Ecuador's economy, significantly agricultural export sector. Understanding the dynamics export to Chile and Argentina allows for an assessment Ecuador's economic performance and the identification patterns and trends applicable to other agricultural products in the region.
