Abstract

For several years, humanity has learned to subsist thanks to the resources provided by nature. However, with the emergence of new forms and mechanisms, the use of fossil fuels began, allowing for improved production processes. This has now caused a considerable environmental impact, as stated by (Kothari et al. 2014). The pollution produced in homes also directly affects the health of the population, since air pollution occurs through the combination of different gases and solid particles emitted by chemicals, cars, dust, among others, as stated by Estrada et al. (2016), who also argue that air pollution comes from the outdoor air, which is usually home to large amounts of CO2, lead, and others from automobiles and large industries. On the other hand, indoor air pollution typically contains the same pollutants as outdoor air, with the only difference being the small amounts they emit, from cigarette smoke to chemicals used for household cleaning, such as glues, perfumes, deodorants, and others.
