Abstract

This research will focus on understanding the different strategies that will help promote water sports as tourist attractions on Bahía de Caráquez beach in the Canton of Sucre, and at the same time, will be able to observe the influence of each of them. This is one of the beaches in the Canton of Sucre with the greatest number of visitors and interest in water sports activities. Paseo de Roberto beach in the parish of Bahía de Caráquez offers tents, restrooms, restaurants, and kayaking. In addition, another area has a rental facility for water sports equipment for various sports activities. The goal of applying these strategies is to transform water sports into renowned tourist attractions and to better publicize them, increasing the influx of hundreds of tourists, generating greater employment for many entrepreneurs, and, in turn, improving the local economy. Today, we must constantly innovate and, at the same time, develop strategies to differentiate ourselves from the competition. This is because we must take into account the competitive market within the tourism sector, which also includes a growing demand for water sports activities in the coastal area of ​​Manabí.
