The proposal to revitalize the Montubio culture in Río Canoa seeks to preserve and strengthen the cultural identity of this community through the active participation of its residents. Music, dance, and craft workshops are planned, along with festivals and cultural events that encourage the transmission of knowledge between generations, allowing older adults to share their traditions with young people. This will promote social cohesion and cultural pride in the community. Cultural tourism is a central component of this strategy, with the creation of tourist routes that showcase Montubio heritage to visitors, generating new economic opportunities for Río Canoa. The training of local tour guides will ensure an authentic experience that respects local traditions, contributing to sustainable tourism development that favors the well-being of residents. The creation of a digital platform will allow Montubio traditions to be documented, promoted, and preserved for future generations and will facilitate access to this culture for people from other regions. Additionally, it is proposed to establish partnerships with cultural and tourism institutions, which will broaden the scope of the proposal and strengthen its impact. Finally, implementing a continuous monitoring system will help evaluate the results, allowing for adjustments and ensuring that objectives are met. This proposal represents a significant opportunity to revitalize Montubio culture, boost the local economy, and position Río Canoa as a sustainable cultural tourism destination.
