Abstract

This project aims to design a tourist signage system to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and appeal of Montubian Creole gastronomy along the Flavio Alfaro – El Carmen Route. Through bibliographic research and a diagnosis of the current tourist signage situation, the main deficiencies affecting visitor orientation and the promotion of local restaurants were identified. The proposal includes a culturally relevant and visually appealing signage design that integrates technological tools such as QR codes and interactive maps, following the guidelines of Ecuador's "Tourist Signage Manual." This project seeks to contribute to the region's sustainable development by strengthening its cultural identity and positioning it as a gastronomic tourism benchmark in the country.
