Abstract: | Internal communication fulfills a series of functions that allow the organization to improve efficiency in all its internal activities, which will undoubtedly result in greater external competitiveness for the company. Effective internal communication enhances interaction among individuals within the organization. This study aims to examine the relationship between internal communication and the work environment at Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, Sucre extension. To achieve this objective, a literature review was conducted on aspects related to internal communication, along with a survey to diagnose the flow of information among different members of the university community. The results revealed that internal communication is generally positive; however, certain aspects, such as feedback and its contribution to work motivation, need to be strengthened. The academic article is divided into four sections. The first section presents a literature review on internal communication in relation to work performance. The second section analyzes the current state of communication between faculty and administrative staff at ULEAM, Sucre extension. The third section is based on a sample obtained through the survey, analyzing the perspectives of the stakeholders involved and the results obtained. Finally, the fourth section presents the authors' conclusions. |
