Análisis de la Responsabilidad Social Ambiental de la compañía de transporte escolar e institucional Bahiami City de Bahía de Caráquez.

Abstract

The research is designed to analyze the social and environmental responsibility of Bahiami City and its owners. Bahiami City is a transportation company providing both commercial and school transportation. In this context, the company shows a deficiency in the implementation of practices that promote sustainable development and environmental care, which reflect a bad image on the Eco City Bahía de Caráquez. The study was carried out with a systematic review of diagnostic research, with a descriptive type of research, in addition to handling both the qualitative and quantitative approach. To collect more information, a survey was conducted using a sample group of 162 users concerning their perception of the environmental care carried out by this operator. The questionnaire consisted of 13 questions valued with a Likert scale; the SPSS 27 software was also used, which served to measure the reliability of the questionnaire applied through Cronbach's Alpha, resulting in 0.835. Likewise, the software assisted in evaluation the consistency of the responses obtained. The results showed a lack of commitment on the part of the company owners and local officials of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Canton of Sucre. The results were compared with research by other authors, showing a high degree of similarity on the need for greater integration of environmental and social responsibility in the transport sector. Results indicated a lack of collaboration between both the public and private sectors. Additionally it showed the need for the implementation of adequate public policies that improve the quality of life of the city's inhabitants.
