Abstract

Entrepreneurial ventures are increasingly seeking to harmonise profitability with sustainability, aiming to contribute positively to their environmental context and develop long-term business strategies. These enterprises or adapting existing operations to mitigate environmental impact. The research project primarily focuses on examining the significance of implementing sustainability and environmental conservation within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Bahia de Caráquez. Utilizing descriptive, empirical, and documentary methodologies, the study conducted a comprehensive diagnostic approach involving observation, entrepreneur surveys, and expert interviews. The findings revealed significant challenges, including limited knowledge, perceptions of sustainability implementation as financially prohibitive, and minimal governmental support. Despite these obstacles, the research uncovered a noteworthy enthusiasm among local entrepreneurs to receive specialized training and implement practical sustainable measures such as recycling and utilizing biodegradable products. This emerging interest represents a promising opportunity for advancing sustainability initiatives within Bahìa of Caráquez. As a strategic response, the research culminated in developing a detailed sustainable practices guide specifically tailored for local entrepreneurs. This guide is meticulously designed to educate and orient business model. By integrating sustainability into core business elements like value proposition, key activities, and distribution channels, the guide offers a pragmatic framework for fostering environmentally responsible entrepreneurship in the region.
