Responsabilidad social empresarial y su influencia en los emprendimientos del Cantón San Vicente.

Abstract

This study analyzed how corporate social responsibility practices influence entrepreneurship in the San Vicente Canton. The research was conducted using qualitative techniques and based on analytical, descriptive, and deductive methods. Interviews were conducted with 40 local entrepreneurships to analyze their level of awareness and implementation of CSR in their operations. The findings revealed that, although entrepreneurs recognize the importance of CSR, most associate it only with basic social activities, such as donations or community events. Only a small number have integrated sustainable practices that have improved their reputation and ties to the community. The main challenges identified included a lack of resources, time, and specific knowledge on the topic. To address this problem, corporate social responsibility training is proposed for entrepreneurs in the canton. This plan aims to provide tools and knowledge for the implementation of sustainable strategies that enhance both the social impact and competitiveness of businesses. It also seeks to contribute to a more responsible business culture committed to local development.
