Abstract: | The implementation of a gas switchboard system in the Manabi kitchen laboratory aims to improve safety, efficiency and operability in gas distribution within the kitchen space. The process includes the identification and selection of suitable equipment and materials, such as hoses, connectors and regulators, all evaluated according to safety regulations and technical standards. A technical analysis was carried out to guarantee the compatibility of the components with the proposed system and an economic study was prepared to estimate the implementation costs, the total of which amounts to $385. Additionally, a detailed installation plan, including pressure testing and leak detection, was developed to verify the integrity of the system prior to use. The results show that the installation meets the safety and functionality requirements, ensuring the durability of the system. The implementation of this system optimizes gas consumption and reduces the risks of leaks, contributing to a safer and more efficient environment for food preparation, while minimizing the environmental impact associated with the misuse of energy resources. This project also serves as a model for future installations in other gastronomic laboratories, promoting compliance with modern safety and sustainability standards. |
