| Abstract: | The present study addresses the determination of age and growth of snook (Centropomus robalito), evaluating the estimation of age and growth parameters through otoliths. A total of 120 individuals were obtained. Female sizes ranged from 16.00 to 34.20 cm TL (Mean ± SD: 25.44 ± 5.01), while males ranged from 17.8 to 38.4 cm TL (Mean ± SD: 28.4 ± 5.04). The LOOIC indicated that the VB model was the best fit (LOOICw = 1), yielding the following estimates for combined sexes (L∞ = 38.13 ± 0.01 cm TL, k = 0.29 ± 0.00 yr⁻ ¹), females (L∞ = 40.95 ± 0.02 cm TL, k = 0.25 ± 0.00 yr⁻ ¹), and males (L∞ = 39.00 ± 0.02 cm TL, k = 0.28 ± 0.00 yr⁻ ¹). |
