Abstract

The purpose of this degree project is to develop a web and mobile application based on geolocation technology, designed to provide support and protection to women in dangerous situations. This initiative responds to the limited availability of specific technological tools to address the problem of gender violence. The absence of accessible and timely resources perpetuates this phenomenon, limiting the help options for victims and highlighting the urgent need to implement innovative solutions in this area. The objective of the project is to develop a technological solution to mitigate abuse against women in Manta, Ecuador, a city where gender violence represents a significant problem. To ensure success in the development of this solution, the agile Scrum methodology was implemented, structuring the necessary stages to create a functional tool. As a result, the application allowed reporting cases of abuse, identifying locations to access immediate help, thus providing a valuable resource for women in critical situations. In conclusion, Mujer Segura is an innovative technological solution that integrates geolocation with a design focused on the user experience, offering concrete and efficient support to prevent and address cases of gender violence. Its inclusive approach seeks to empower women by providing them with an accessible and functional tool that allows them to act quickly and safely in dangerous situations.
