Ligüiqui, is a coastal community located in Manta, Ecuador, it has a rich cultural and historical heritage that makes it a tourist destination with great potential. However, tourism development in the area has been limited due to the lack of planning and active participation of the local community. Undertaking a study on the impact of cultural tourism and its role in the preservation of cultural heritage in the Ligüiqui community represents a valuable contribution to the rescue and enhancement of its cultural identity. This initiative, focused on the Ligüiqui community of the Manta canton in the province of Manabí, Ecuador, seeks to understand the cultural dynamics, traditional activities and the warmth of its people, framed in the environment of its beautiful beach. Through the thesis we will try to spread our roots and identity, recognizing who they are and where they are going, and it is essential to maintain history and not let ancestral roots be forgotten. The Ligüiqui community is proud of its rich ancestral culture, transmitted from generation to generation through traditions, customs and unique expressions. However, with the passage of time, this invaluable heritage has faced the challenge of oblivion and disinterest, which has generated a gradual loss of ancestral knowledge.
