Abstract: The present study was carried out in El Carmen, Manabí, with the general objective of evaluating the levels of organo-mineral fertilization in the passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) crop during its growth phase. A Randomized Double Block Complete Experimental Design (DBCA) was used in an A x B x C factorial arrangement, where different combinations of organic and mineral fertilization were considered. The variables studied included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of fruits, fruit diameter and fruit weight. The treatments applied varied in the proportion of organic and mineral fertilizers, allowing their effect on crop development to be observed. The results showed that the plants that received an adequate combination of organo-mineral fertilization presented a significant growth in height and number of leaves, as well as an increase in leaf area and fruit production. In particular, it was noted that treatments that integrated both types of fertilization achieved better yields compared to treatments that used only mineral or organic fertilization. These findings suggest that fertilization optimization can improve passion fruit growth and production, contributing to more sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.
Description: El presente estudio se llevó a cabo en El Carmen, Manabí, con el objetivo general de evaluar los niveles de fertilización órgano-mineral en el cultivo de maracuyá (Passiflora edulis) durante su fase de crecimiento. Se utilizó un diseño experimental de Doble Bloque Completo al Azar (DBCA) en un arreglo factorial A x B x C, donde se consideraron diferentes combinaciones de fertilización orgánica y mineral.
