Abstract: | This research was conducted to design a comprehensive internal control and inventory management system at the "San José" Funeral Home, located in the Flavio Alfaro canton of Manabí. The primary objective of this system is to improve the funeral home's operational efficiency and profitability, as well as ensure customer satisfaction. To this end, specific internal control policies and procedures were developed that will allow for more efficient and secure inventory management. The creation of this internal control and inventory management system is crucial for the funeral home, as it allows for the detection and correction of potential deficiencies in organizational processes, ensuring proper resource management and informed decision-making. Inductive, deductive, and analytical-synthetic methods were used to conduct this research. The inductive method allowed for general conclusions to be drawn from specific observations. The deductive method facilitated the formulation of argumentative judgments and the demonstration of observed reality; and the analytical-synthetic method integrated the processes of analysis and synthesis of the collected information. |
