Abstract

The present research project was carried out in the Arts Majors, specifically in the Fine Arts and Performing Arts Majors, which together have a student population of 224 students, which provided a sample of 142 students and to this are added 7 teachers, two from Performing Arts and five from Plastic Arts. This study aimed to describe the use of haptic communication as support in the learning of practical skills of students of the Arts Courses at the Laica Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí. The general and specific objectives were met thanks to the correct implementation of the techniques and instruments that in this research were observation, interview, survey and bibliographic review. Which resulted in knowledge of the concept of haptic communication and the use of teaching techniques such as material manipulation, tactile reading, the use of haptic devices, among others.
