Abstract

The objective of this project is to develop a web application for managing the processes of the Student Welfare Department at ULEAM, El Carmen extension, with the purpose of improving operational efficiency, optimizing student services, and ensuring faster and easier access to the department's services. Currently, the processes are handled manually, which causes delays, errors in information management, and limited accessibility for students. The proposal consists of creating a digital platform that allows the automation of tasks such as student request registration, appointment scheduling, case tracking, and the management of social assistance and scholarships. The application will also provide a centralized database for more efficient and secure information management, as well as an automated notification module to keep students informed about the status of their requests. The human, technological, and economic resources required for the development of the project are detailed, along with the phases of software development, which include planning, design, construction, and testing. Once implemented, the application is expected to not only reduce response and request processing times but also enhance the user experience, increasing satisfaction among both students and administrative staff. In conclusion, this web application aims to provide a technological solution that promotes the modernization of the department, thus improving the quality of service to students and optimizing the university's resources.
