Abstract: | Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are a public health problem that have a significant impact on the health of individuals, families and society. In addition to being sexually transmitted, some can also be transmitted non-sexually, which increases their impact. These infections mainly affect men and women of sexually active age, especially young people, who are more susceptible to infection due to factors such as risky sexual behaviors and lack of preventive education. Objective: To determine the characteristic lesions in the oral cavity of sexually transmitted diseases. Methods: This research has a systematic review design. This research includes clear and structured summaries of the information about oral manifestations in patients with STD and their correct clinical approach. Results: 21 articles were taken into account and used to make a narrative table that summarizes the information of the articles and helps to understand them, where the Oral Manifestations In Patients With Ets And Its Correct Clinical Approach is evidenced. Conclusions: Sexually transmitted diseases are a big problem for the health system because they are easily transmitted and anyone can expose them, and in many cases they do not present symptoms, which makes diagnosis difficult, so dentists understand that this is important. How to diagnose this condition in order to treat it in a timely manner and prevent damage to the patient's health. |
Description: | Las infecciones de transmisión sexual (ITS) son un problema de salud pública que tienen un impacto significativo en la salud de las personas, las familias y la sociedad. Además de transmitirse sexualmente, algunos también pueden transmitirse de forma no sexual, lo que aumenta su impacto. Estas infecciones afectan principalmente a hombres y mujeres en edad sexual activa, especialmente a los jóvenes, quienes son más susceptibles a la infección debido a factores como conductas sexuales de riesgo y falta de educación preventiva. |
