Abstract: Soft tissue grafting has become an important part of regenerative periodontal surgery to improve function and aesthetics. Since the appearance of the first free mucosal grafts, connective tissue grafts have become increasingly important in recent years. Objective: Explore through a literature review what is related to soft tissue grafts in patients with reduced periodontium. Method: According to this research project, which corresponds to a qualitative study of systematic literature reviews using the descriptive method of scientific journals or articles to describe and identify important information about the collected sources. Results: Both palatal and tuberosity donor soft tissue grafting provide equally satisfactory short-term clinical results in periodontal cosmetic surgical procedures. Conclusion: The use of prescribed connective tissue grafts and a correct diagnosis will give good results in periodontal treatment. Likewise, the success of surgical treatment is linked to the identification and elimination of the etiological factor through motivation, which is why adequate plaque control is necessary to maintain and preserve the results obtained after surgery.
