Abstract

The following document presents an integrative academic project aimed at developing a web and mobile information system for managing house rentals in the Unión de Amigos neighborhood. Various issues were identified in this context, including unreliable and slow access to housing searches, frustration generated by manual processes, privacy invasion from public advertisements, and misunderstandings between landlords and tenants. To gather this information, a research methodology was employed that included bibliographic review, field research, and applied research. Data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews were also used. The survey was conducted with 25 tenants, while the interview was held with the neighborhood president. Based on the identified needs, a web information system was designed to manage houses, administer rentals, and generate reports within a specific range. On the mobile side, all registered houses can be viewed and filtered. These software solutions aim to improve the house rental process in the Unión de Amigos neighborhood. Specifically, the goal was to reduce the time of each process, which previously caused stress and frustration for the involved parties. The integrative academic project seeks to comprehensively address the identified issues in house rental management in the neighborhood through the development of an information system that automates and optimizes processes, providing a reliable and efficient solution for landlords and tenants. This will enhance user experience, reduce frustration and misunderstandings, and facilitate access to information about available rental options in the area.
