Abstract

This project addresses the implementation of a Network Security System Installation with structured cabling based on the TIA/EIA 568 standard for the Cantonal System of Equality and Comprehensive Protection of Rights of the Priority Attention groups of the Canton of El Carmen. The project seeks to improve operational efficiency and information and facility security through the adoption of advanced technologies and secure IT practices. A mixed approach to research is proposed, using qualitative and quantitative methods to assess both user perceptions and the technical performance of the network system. In addition, an implementation strategy is described that includes the acquisition and configuration of equipment, the training of personnel, and the creation of security policies. The integration of a video surveillance system with the data network strengthens the capacity to respond to incidents and the protection of the institution's assets.
