Abstract: | The generation of toxic gases during welding processes represents a significant problem for the health of workers and the environment. The general objective of this project is to design and build an efficient waste gas evacuation system that mitigates these risks in welding workshops. The methodology used included an initial diagnosis to identify the specific needs of the workshop and the types of gases generated, followed by a technical design based on mechanical ventilation principles. Subsequently, the system was built and installed, using suitable materials to ensure durability and efficiency. Finally, operational tests and adjustments were carried out to validate its performance. The results showed a significant reduction in the concentration of harmful gases in the work environment, improving air quality and ensuring compliance with industrial safety regulations. It is concluded that the implementation of this system not only protects the health of operators, but also increases productivity by providing a safer work environment. This project highlights the importance of integrating technological solutions into industrial processes to optimize safety and sustainability. |
