Autocuidado del adulto mayor con Alzheimer desde la perspectiva de Enfermería.

Abstract

Alzheimer's disease presents a progressive and irreversible clinical picture, with mental and

behavioral alterations. The general objective Analyze the Action Manual on Alzheimer's Disease to Improve the Quality of Life of the Elderly. The methodology used was based on a documentary-type study, relying on bibliographic reviews from indexed databases. Analytical and inductive-deductive methods were employed, with several inclusion criteria, such as academic and scientific articles from the past 10 years. Results The current state was characterized using databases such as Google Académico, SCIELO, Google académico – Scielo, Lilacs – Scielo, Pubmed – BMC, Pubmed - National Library of Medicine, Pubmed – Elsevier, through which an educational strategy was developed. These served as essential foundations for the completion of this project. Conclusion The research focused on the group most frequently affected by the disease, its causes, and incidence. It also highlights the most commonly applied method, which enabled the creation of a tool aimed at improving the quality of life of this vulnerable group—older adults. Likewise, an educational tool was developed for nursing interventions targeted at family members and older adults with Alzheimer's.
