Abstract: | Hypertensive disorders are the most common complications of pregnancy and are responsible for a significant percentage of both maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. In this sense, preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder that can occur during pregnancy and postpartum and has repercussions on both the mother and the fetus. Objective: To develop a preventive educational manual on preeclampsia in early adulthood. Methodology: This research project was considered a cross-sectional, analytical-synthetic study, following the methodology of literature reviews, through searches in databases such as ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, SciELO and Redalyc. Using meta-search engines such as Google Scholar, SemanticScholar and the MeSH and DeCS thesauri. In addition, we searched for documents from organizations such as WHO, PAHO and the Ministry of Public Health. Results: Among the selected articles, it was found that preeclampsia has a risk of 50% in pregnant women aged 20 to 34 years, and 57.1% represented in women older than 35 years. Primigestas have a high percentage as a risk factor, as well as, Hellp syndrome among maternal complications and prematurity among fetal complications. Conclusions: Preeclampsia currently remains a challenge in health care facilities due to its high level of maternal-fetal complexity, however, it is not a risk factor for preeclampsia. |
