Abstract: Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, common in tropical areas such as Ecuador. Nursing care is essential to prevent complications and promote recovery in pediatric patients. Early identification of warning signs, such as high fever, abdominal pain, and bleeding, allows for rapid and effective intervention. Objective: To analyze the importance of nursing interventions and the role of nursing in the treatment and prevention of dengue. Methodology: The research focused on the analysis of nursing interventions, using a documentary-bibliographic methodology. Academic sources such as theses, scientific research and articles in Spanish and English, obtained from databases such as Scielo, Google Scholar, Elsevier, Dialnet and PubMed, were consulted. Analytical-synthetic methods were used to identify effective practices in the management of dengue in children. Results: obtained from a sample of 18 articles associated with the object of study were as follows: Scielo contributed 6 articles (33%), Elsevier 1 article (6%), the WHO 2 articles (11%), scientific journals 4 articles (22%) and Google Scholar 5 articles (28%). The total of the collected studies focused on the role of nursing in the management of pediatric patients with dengue. Conclusion: Given the increase in dengue, we propose developing an updated manual to optimize nursing care for children, focusing on prevention, management, and personalized care. This resource will serve to train healthcare professionals, improving the quality of care and reducing complications.
