Abstract: | Tuberculosis is a disease caused by human infection with the Koch bacillus (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). The most common form is pulmonary tuberculosis; however, it can also affect any other organ or tissue, known as extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Objective: Identify the Nursing Role in the care of patients with extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Methodology: Descriptive Study of Retrospective Design. It is carried out based on a Bibliographic Review, which includes various scientific databases supported in health such as PubMed, Elsevier, Lilacs, Dialnet, S. Cielo, WHO, PAHO and therefore with information on the Nursing Role in patient care. with extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Results: It can be observed that to carry out the information, a total of 100% articles were found, of which, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12% of the studies are legible for research on the Nursing Role in the care of patients with extrapulmonary tuberculosis. It was also possible to demonstrate that the majority of the articles were found in the Pubmed database with 35% of a total of 100%. The journal in which the most articles related to the topic were found was the Panamerican Journal of Public Health with a total of 15%. According to the country, Spain was the one in which the largest number of articles was found with 21% of the total. Discussion: Based on the research and taking into account the articles related to the research topic, the interventions of the nursing role in patients with extrapulmonary tuberculosis show a wide variability with respect to the results measured in each investigation, the delimiters of the topic in the aspects infectious diseases, prevention, causes and effects of poor treatment of tuberculosis in turn focusing on the management of nursing staff in terms of care. |
