Atención de enfermería en el postoperatorio inmediato.

Abstract

The immediate postoperative period (IPP) covers the first 24 hours after surgery and includes the time the client remains in the post-anesthesia recovery room. During this period, physiological alterations may occur, mainly unconsciousness and cardiorespiratory depression. A cross-sectional, descriptive, ambispective study was followed. A critical reading of scientific articles was carried out to classify them according to the selected indexed database such as PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Elsevier and ScienceDirect, Scielo on the care and the effects given in health establishments based on the instances of health in Latin America. The results of the articles used indicate that most health personnel comply with the process according to the protocols. In conclusion, the standardization of nursing interventions in the immediate postoperative period, together with the rest of the health personnel, is key to achieving positive results in the patient, thus seeking to promote safer, more effective care focused on improving the user's health.
